All-on-X Dental Implants Vero Beach

Seamlessly & Quickly Restore Your Smile

The purpose of dental implants is to replace the roots of lost teeth, but that begs the question, do you need an implant for every single missing tooth? No, you do not! In fact, if you need to replace a full arch, your new smile may need the support of just 4 – 6 dental implants. This method, known as All-on-X, uses advanced techniques to replace teeth in a way that is efficient, minimally invasive, and reliable. How Do All-on-X Dental Implants Work?

“All-on-X” is a general term that applies to both All-on-4 and All-on-6 dental implant procedures. In a single appointment, we remove the remaining natural teeth, place 4 – 6 dental implants into the jawbone, and then immediately restore them with a temporary denture. The implants are able to support a load right away due to the strategic placement strategy, which utilizes areas of the bone that are naturally strong and thick. Due to the streamlined nature of this process, it is sometimes known as “Teeth in a Day.” Sometime after the initial surgery, once your mouth has had a chance to heal, we remove the temporary denture and replace it with a permanent one.

Am I a Candidate for All-on-X Dental Implants?

You might be a candidate for All-on-X if:

  • You are missing all or most of your teeth throughout one of your dental arches. (Or your remaining natural teeth are in poor condition.)
  • Your jawbone is strong enough to support dental implants. (Most patients meet this requirement, even without a bone graft.)
  • You do not have gum disease or other health considerations that might compromise your treatment’s outcome.

During your consultation, our team will examine your mouth and determine whether All-on-x treatment is right for you. Most patients who want this service do qualify, either right away or after some preliminary work.

Benefits of All-on-X Dental Implants

As a result of getting All-on-X dental implants, you may enjoy the following benefits:

  • A stronger bite: Dental implants are very strong, so they can allow you to eat a wide variety of foods, including relatively tough and chewy items.
  • Convenience: All-on-X dentures are permanently attached to the underlying implants, so you can treat them almost exactly like you would care for natural teeth.
  • Beauty: We design prosthetics with the goal of optimizing both their function and appearance. They can look incredibly natural!
  • Jawbone preservation: Dental implants stimulate the jawbone, so they are able to keep it as strong and whole as possible.

All-on-X Vs. Traditional Dental Implants

A few noteworthy differences between traditional and All-on-X dental implants include:

  • Treatment method: All-on-X is faster overall than full-arch tooth replacement with the traditional approach.
  • Invasiveness: All-on-X usually requires just one surgery, while traditional implants might require two or more. Also, the strategic placement of the implants may necessitate fewer incisions in the mouth.
  • Placement of new teeth: All-on-X lets you enjoy a set of temporary teeth right away. With traditional implants, there is usually a waiting period of a few months between implant placement and restoration with a crown, bridge, or denture.
  • Versatility: All-on-X is only for full-arch tooth replacement, whereas traditional implants can replace any number of missing teeth.

During your consultation, our team will consider all relevant aspects of your unique situation before we determine whether All-on-X or another form of tooth replacement is best for you.
